About the Progressive Source Awards

In preparing the Progressive Source Awards, we searched more than a thousand progressive advocacy and nonprofit Web sites to select nominees. Those nominated have used the Web to effectively spread their messages with provocative videos, arresting homepages and informative resources to motivate, educate and inspire.

The 2007 Progressive Source Awards consisted of seven categories. To see the winners in each category, select the category from the menu on the left. A diverse and progressively distinguished panel of judges chose the winners on June 27, 2007. A “Most Popular Award” winner was also selected for each award category based upon votes of visitors to this site.

Any member of the public with a valid email was allowed to vote for the Most Popular Award for each category. The nominating process was also open to anyone. No registration fee was required to be considered for a Progressive Source Award.

Web videos that were nominated for Progressive Source Awards had to be less than five minutes long. Videos, Web sites and advocacy tools had to be currently and freely accessible over the Internet without registration.

Nominations for the 2nd Annual Progressive Source Awards will be accepted in Spring, 2008.

Nominated Web videos must be less than five minutes long. Nominated videos as well as sites and advocacy tools must all be currently and freely accessible over the Internet without registration.
